I haven't read the books, and I admit I was dubious on hearing the premise as it sounded very like the awesome Battle Royale, but I did really enjoy the movie. Watched it on the plane out to New Zealand and thought it was very good.

Jennifer Lawrence was excellent, and her archery skills are pretty awesome, but she was taught by one of the US Olympic team so you'd expect her to be pretty good.

I have not read the books and only watched as so many people were going on about it!
I liked it and loved the relationship Katniss had with the young girl as it shows some are there because they had to be not because they want to be and that everyone has their different skills!

I've read the books and despite what some people say they stuck to it really well. There were only certain unimportant parts they missed and bits that would have made it haunting (definitely not a 12!)
